Next time you’re in a public place – a restaurant, a pub, a sports arena – take a look around, see if you can find a list of the house rules or plaque inscribed with the code of conduct. An establishment’s code of conduct usually acts as a disclaimer, informing the patrons of the owners’ and employees’ rights and customer expectations or requirements. These guidelines are usually basic and tend to be based on common sense, but many places also have a second and more subtle set of rules that customers follow in order to communicate a considerate attitude towards staff and fellow customers, called etiquette.
Etiquette is especially important for casino and online casino game players, and following the rules of proper casino etiquette is a valued trait in an opponent. Being polite in a casino, whether in an offline or in an online casino is relatively easy for most people to do. Don’t interrupt your opponents’ play or attempt to break into one of their games before it’s your turn to play, and never disrupt a game with a phone call or camera, and remember to always compete with integrity, and you should be fine.
